Misaki Nakano’s Nostalgia consists of pixelated noise crafted by the artist herself, with each pixel’s color calculated precisely and output using WebGL technology. While the individual pixels are extremely small and may seem insignificant at first glance, the artist places great emphasis on the pixel-level perspective during the coding process, and this meticulous attention to detail is reflected throughout the project. By rendering each pixel independently, unexpected visuals emerge that evoke natural environments. The cuts define a color scheme inspired by natural skyscapes that evoke a sense of nostalgia, injecting the series with both visual depth and emotional resonance.
